HERZOG 164/165 CLEAN-UP TRAIN photos

I know these aren't the most "scenic" photos out there, but this train is just too cool to be neglected on this web page. It's been roaming the Moffat Route for the past couple months. Its job is to clean-up old ties and rail debris from along the tracks. It consists of two cars - HZGX 164 and 165. HZGX 164 is the crane support car - it carries the on-board crane when the train is not in use. HZGX 165 is a former double-stack car converted to a gondola. The floors have been filled in, and a set of rails runs along the top sills of the car, thereby allowing the crane to sit on top and scoop debris into the wells. The train is self-propelled. Check out the photos below!
