The Intermodal Container Web Page - Part 4

SeaTrain's 27' containers:

SeaTrain Lines (who went bankrupt in 1981) was known for its fleet of 27' containers. They're almost entirely extinct these days, except if you're lucky enough to find one in use as a storage unit.

Matson Navigation owned a small fleet of 27' containers that appear to be former SeaTrain units.

Here's a rare survivor: MATS 270922 (Photo by Michael McGowen)

An unusual find: MATS 270738 (ex-SeaTrain) with a hand-painted U.S. bicentennial paint scheme. SeaTrain logos are still visible on the doors in this view. Builder is Trailmobile. (Photos by Michael McGowen)
